License and catch card

Confirm before you fish.

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says fishers age 16 and over need a fishing license. Salmon, halibut, and certain other fisheries require a catch record card. Confirm current requirements directly with WDFW.

What to bring

Keep it simple.

  • Warm layers and rain gear
  • Non-marking deck shoes
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Food and drinks for your day
  • A hard cooler for fillets after your trip

Motion-sickness planning

Plan your comfort with a professional.

The current R&R guest guide advises guests susceptible to seasickness to plan ahead rather than waiting until the morning. Medication choice and timing are personal medical decisions; follow your physician’s, pharmacist’s, and product-label guidance, and confirm the day’s conditions with the captain.
